Ruckus Wireless new ANZ distributor off the blocks running

SYDNEY, Australia (Wednesday, 18 May 2011) – Ruckus Wireless™ has announced a partnership with inTechnology Distribution, a specialist value-add distributor (VAD) in wireless networking, network security and mobile device management, to offer Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi systems and technology to inTechnology’s 300 reseller and solution provider customers across Australia and New Zealand. The distribution agreement will see inTechnology distribute the entire line of Ruckus ZoneFlex™ Smart Wireless LAN products to its partner community.

"It's rewarding to have attracted such a high-calibre distribution partner supporting our channel program," said Ruckus Wireless Country Manager, Carl Jefferys. "With inTechnology Distribution and our in-country team focused on providing innovative technology solutions, there’s no doubt that we are in a great position to capitalise on the rapidly building market momentum in Wi-Fi."

The Ruckus ZoneFlex suite of products is perfectly suited to address today’s high density mobile computing environments, as businesses and government organisations grapple with the flood of handheld devices tapping into their networks. “This agreement means that now our value-added resellers (VARs) can offer their end-user customers, in the healthcare, education and government industries, advanced wireless networking capabilities at a fraction of the real cost of ownership of other available systems,” said Mark Winter, InTechnology’s Group Managing Director.

The Ruckus ZoneFlex system is the only wireless LAN (WLAN) solution that combines adaptive antenna technologies and smart Wi-Fi meshing within an easy-to-use and centrally managed architecture. “The combination of these technology breakthroughs gives enterprises the ability to achieve two to four times the range, reliability and performance at half the deployment time and cost of competitive alternatives, as well as the lowest total cost of ownership [TCO] in the market – making ZoneFlex ideal for the channel and their customers,” said Jefferys.

“We’re seeing the demand for better coverage, more scalable and truly cost-effective Wi-Fi systems that remove the deployment and management complexities found in other wireless networking solutions,” said Winter. “The addition of the Ruckus ZoneFlex line of products to our distribution offering will help our reseller customers enhance their businesses as they deliver a well rounded and robust solution to their enterprise customers.

“The choice to add Ruckus to our existing wireless technology portfolio is to provide our partners with some extremely competitive cross selling opportunities and the ability for our partners to increase both their product and services revenue. In the past, our focus has been education, however with the addition of Ruckus this opens up new and broad market segments for us, our partners and the vendors we represent,” concluded Winter.

inTechnology has kicked off the distribution agreement with an aggressive marketing and education campaign for its existing resellers as well as to attract new resellers focused in the Wi-Fi space. The organisation will carry the complete family of Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi products and is actively looking to recruit channel partners focusing on all market segments.
