inTechnology Distribution Partners with Leading Nurse Call Provider for Automated Care Minute Report

To address the governments mandatory care minute standards, in response to the 2021 final report of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety

SYDNEY, NSW., December 5, 2022 – inTechnology Distribution, one of Asia Pacific’s leading value-added distributors, announced today a partnership with leading nurse call provider Electrotek to deliver Automated Care Minute Reporting System to help residential aged care providers comply with the new Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) care funding model.

Electrotek, an industry leader in the design, installation and support of Nurse Call and associated technology solutions to the aged care, retirement living, day clinic and allied health industries throughout Australia.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the team from Electrotek,” said Mark Winter, Chief Executive Officer at inTechnology Distribution. “Like most nurse call providers, Electrotek already provide Real Time Location System (RTLS) technology, however, with the sub-meter accuracy required for gathering care minute reporting data, Electrotek needed to find a better solution.” “This is where our Quuppa and NESA technology comes into play”, said Mark.

“We have had a number of our clients asking us and looking for a solution, said Theo Kuppens, Managing Director at Electrotek.” We looked at a number of solutions that claim to provide the level of accuracy required under the AN-ACC reporting requirements, however nothing came close to the Quuppa and NESA system from inTechnology”, said Theo.

“We needed to find a solution that automatically captures every interaction between a caregiver, registered nurses and resident with detailed real-time reporting and alerts to ensure each resident receives the right amount of care minutes based on their case-mix classification.” “No other RTLS solution could offer our clients the accurate reporting that is required by the Department of Health and Aged Care” under the AN-ACC reporting model”, Theo concluded.

Electrotek will have access to the full Quuppa and NESA Solution from inTechnology and aim to take this to their existing client base and their partner community immediately as the requirement for an Automated Care Minute Reporting System for the aged care sector is imminent and will see a significant increase in the aged care providers adopting RTLS technology.
